Rates of intimate partner violence against women (IPVAW) are higher in urban slums than other types human settlements. Although the mitigation both and IPVAW fall under UN's Sustainable Development Goals, there is a paucity work addressing interconnection between two. Using survey interview data, this study examined how environment Nairobi slum catalyzes IPVAW, elucidating environment, economic deprivation, cultural norms women's role intersect to exacerbate IPVAW.
